First of all, assemble the tools you will need for the task: A Watch strap adjuster tool from Direct Watch Accessories, which comes with a manual punch and a spare pin. |
Now turn the screw handle of the tool to pull the pin back out of sight. | Place your watch bracelet across the tool, making sure the arrows (if present) are facing away from the handle. |
| Now turn the screw back in so that the tool’s pin aligns with the bracelet’s pin. | Carry on turning until the pin appears from the other side of the bracelet. | You may need to pull the remaining length of pin out with pliers, but usually it should just pull out. |
| On the side of the tool, there is a screw, this will adjust the depth of the channel to allow for different depths of strap. | As the platform moves out, it also moves down allowing for better adjustment and alignment with the bracelet pin. | Now tap the pins back in, much easier with a watchmaker's hammer to re-assemble the watch bracelet the correct length, and you’re done! |
